..and by everywhere I mean 3 pictures, but still. It's probably just cos i notice it more now, anyway just an observation. Just realised how pointless this post is. waahh.
I'm on a blogging roll today;) I heard this song a few weeks back and it's usually the other way round, but I think I actually prefer the video. seriously I just think it's so beautiful and artistic, every single scene is something to look at and there is such a varied setting, one minute Will.i.am is walking the streets of tokyo the next thing you know he's sitting in a car, with the city lights gently reflecting in the window and then he's in an airport (as well as a million other variations, in a elevator, in an apartment overlooking the city etc with the other members). Ben Mor is a genius. tbh though I think Fergie's shots were the best :P
ever since I was 11 I've had stuff covering my walls, but back then they were just pages from magazine's neatly aligned like tiles, I got a bit bored of that so after a year i took it down and started from scratch. I then went for a more collage-ish kinda look but, cos of my tendency to get bored easily, i kept taking parts down and redoing it over and over. countless times and for about a year, I lost interest and kinda gave up on it,it wasn't really a priority. I just left it like that maybe adding one or two small things now and then, and by now and then I mean every couple of months if i was in the right mood, which was very rarely.
my slow progress
but now I've decided to start up my project again, this time I'm really determined to finish it, and I'm probably gonna sound cheesy, but my wall has really been an escape for me, like almost therapeutic. If I had a crap day, it will take my mind of things and fashion is something I really really love. I've gotta admit I didn't used to pay much attention to fashion and I really didn't get how "stupid" people could be to pay thousands and thousands of their money for just a dress.
But my way of thinking had changed soo much. I just can't express how much I LOVE it! I love the designing process and seeing the finished pieces going down the runway. however the bit in between, actually making it.. it's not my kinds thing If I'm honest, don't get me wrong I'd happily watch someone making a dress but I suck at stitching and hemming and all that kinda stuff, even though i used to be obsessed with this mini cross stitching set i had when i was five, good times.
It really excites me seeing new prints and different materials together and all the colours and shapes. I think I could marry Prada's spring 2011 collection, I just freakin love every single piece and accessory in there! I dunno what's happened but I've seen everything in a new light, like a light bulb's been switched on in my brain. I'm not just picking a random designer and expressing my love for it to seem knowledgeable in fashion, cos I'm not anyway. I just know about the stuff I like and maybe the stuff I don't like if I keep seeing it turning up somewhere in every magazine i read. to add to my un-knowledge this isn't even a new collection it's from last year.
yum
yum
yum
yum
I just don't know what to say, or how to say it, cos it will most likely end up as a jumble of words. those bright colors! freakin banana print! ughhh I'm gonna be sick, I love love love this collection. So I've just tactically written yum as a caption on every picture.
nothing ground-breaking, just the good ol' preppy style ^^
in all of the full shots I looked either really angry or upset probably cos it was so sunny so i kinda had to squint but also i couldn't see myself, like I can in the looks i shoot indoors cos there's a mirror hehe. so I'll just leave you guys with the
..the ongoing theme for prada's s/s '11 collection
inspiration:
"oh look! at it's a B&W striped turtle neck shirt and a pink striped skirt" right?
..wronggg, it's a B&W striped turtle dress and the bottom half of it is covered by my mum's over sized shirt/pajama thing which is tied round my wait by the sleeves, so that's why all these poses are a bit stiff and all facing forward, instead of the usual sideways pose. I make so many "clothes" out of things that they shouldn't be, like agesss ago in my "colour splash" post back in January, that blue skirt was actually a towel tehe.
fail pose of the week
I used to have a major obsession with Agynes Deyn and Jean Paul Gaultier :') I wanted to be her and It was my life long ambition to work for or just meet that amazing french man.
here is my inspiration for what we're gonna do, I haven't got an amazing quality camera, just an average camcorder but i think that low budget thangg adds character and i can always edit it so it just looks vintage, which is kinda how i wanna to end up any ways.
like this first video demonstrates that's the kinda style I'm going for :)
this one, by my idol sofia coppola, is the kinda feel I'm going for, fun and care free, like playing around and happy-go-lucky. Like a montage of home-video's kind thing of the models just having a good time pretty much
kinda like this if you put two of those aspects together :
and I'm totally clueless about the song, but Ellie's a music genius with million's of songs on her ipod from all kinds of bands I've never heard of so she can decide, this is my first directorial job thing, or filming anything proper hehe.
